Onyade Studio No. 1 designs and hand-finishes womenswear and menswear for the room you're about to walk into, not the rack you walked past.
Every commission begins with your own measurements, taken in person. A pattern is drafted for your body specifically, then adjusted at every fitting until the garment moves the way you do.
The atelier accepts a limited number of commissions each season, across both womenswear and menswear, so every piece receives the attention a red-carpet moment deserves.
From a single tailored jacket to a full bridal commission, each piece is patterned on your measurements and built up in muslin first, so the shape is agreed before a single cut is made in the final fabric.
Two- and three-piece suits, odd jackets, shirts and coats, cut from a block built for your own posture and proportions and refined over as many fittings as the commission needs.
We talk through the garment, the occasion, fabric options and timeline, and take a full set of measurements.
A pattern is drafted and cut in muslin so the shape and proportions can be checked before the real fabric is touched.
The garment is built in stages, with fittings between each, adjusting fit, drape and detail as it comes together.
Final hand-finishing — buttonholes, hems, linings — and a last fitting before the piece goes home with you.
Each piece shown is a starting point, not a fixed design — every commission is redrawn to your own measurements, fabric and detailing.

It was the first time a jacket has ever fit my shoulders properly — I didn't think that was something clothes could do.A MENSWEAR CLIENT, 2025 COMMISSION
